Celebrating YOU: Member Wins $9,090 as Arbor Marks 90 Years of Service

As we celebrate 90 years at Arbor Financial Credit Union, we’re excited to share a special moment from our anniversary festivities. On November 12, 2025, we pulled the winner of our $9,090 Anniversary Giveaway. Each service used counted as an entry, and from more than 114,000 entries, one name was chosen. On November 20, we celebrated and awarded our lucky winner!

James, a Vietnam veteran, retired mechanic, and Three Rivers member, joined Arbor in 2022 after first hearing about us from his grandson. A mechanic through and through, he even worked a decade beyond retirement simply because he loved what he did. Today, he restores tractors of all kinds, more than 30 of them, as a hobby.

“I’m like a houseplant, I stay where I’m planted,” he joked, a lighthearted reflection of his steady, down-to-earth approach to life and saving.

He keeps his savings growing at Arbor with accounts designed to help members save more without hoops or hidden requirements.

A Celebration at the Three Rivers Branch

When James arrived at the Three Rivers branch, he was welcomed with warm smiles from the Arbor team, including Branch Manager Randi. The visit quickly turned into a cheerful celebration filled with congratulations, photos, and plenty of excitement as staff marked the occasion.

Arbor began in 1935 with nine Kalamazoo teachers who believed in supporting one another. Today, we’re proud to serve more than 40,000 people across West and Southwest Michigan with 12 branch locations, and we couldn’t do it without the continued trust and support of our member-owners, YOU!

To keep the fun going through the end of the year, we’re hosting weekly $90 social media drawings.*
Each winner receives $90, and Arbor donates $90 to a local food bank in their honor.
