Get involved. Get rewarded for your efforts.

Giving back to our community has always been an Arbor Financial cornerstone. And it's just as important to our employees.

We offer our staff members up to eight hours of paid time off that they can use to volunteer for Michigan community groups, school events or credit union committees. The result is that we have an even more positive impact on the towns we serve.

The Spirit of Volunteerism

Group of volunteers packaging foodKalamazoo Loaves and Fishes

A group of volunteers from Arbor Financial prepared more than 200 meals for people in the Kalamazoo Area, as part of an effort in conjunction with Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes.

With a stated goal of engaging the Kalamazoo community in the fight to end hunger, Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes has been working to do just that since it began in several Kalamazoo-area congregations in the early 1980's.

Arbor Financial is proud to offer our support via our volunteer hours as well as donations through our Caring Committee, which seeks out organizations in the community for assistance.

Employees planting trees

Oshtemo Tree Planting

Several employees took volunteer time in October to help plant trees around Hill Cemetery, in Oshtemo. We're always excited to help out with projects like this that will help beautify our community for generations.

A team from Arbor also planted 20 trees with Oshtemo a few months prior to this particular volunteer opportunity.

Some of our team use their volunteer hours to take time to be a presence in schools in the community. Arbor Financial has a long history with West Michigan schools, dating back to our origins in 1935, and we're proud to be able to help facilitate our employees' helping out with the next generation.

Mattawan Community Garden

A group of Arbor employees came out to help support the Mattawan Lions Club's Community Garden, to help them plant fresh fruit, vegetables, herbs, and flowers. Upon harvest, the Mattawan Lions Club donates the produce to local food pantries.

Arbor is proud to support not just these initiatives, but so many more, through our Caring Committee, and to offer a variety of volunteer opporutnities for our staff to utilize.
"I love Arbor! I love that when I come through the drive-thru, I am always greeted warmly and friendly! The people you have chosen to work there are exemplary. I love the ease of my banking online, as well as at my local office. You’re involved in our community and offer so much. Great job!" Joy B. Read More Member Stories
