Endorsing a Check Via Mobile Deposit

Arbor Financial has made a change in how we accept mobile deposits through our app! From now on, all checks for mobile deposit must be endorsed "For Mobile Deposit Only at Arbor" in order to be accepted. We have more information in the video below, as well as in our FAQ section at the bottom of the page.

Mobile Check Deposit makes it a snap to put money into your account:

  • Sign and endorse your check "For Mobile Deposit Only at Arbor"
  • Snap a picture of the front and back of each check using your smartphone and submit
  • You'll receive a confirmation for each successful deposit on your device
  • No need to drive to your nearest branch or ATM to make a deposit
  • Mobile Check Deposit reduces the risk of your check being lost or stolen before you get a chance to stop by the credit union

Simply download our mobile app from iTunes or Google Play.

Downloading and using the app is free. However, standard wireless carrier data and charges may apply. Contact your wireless provider for details.

Anyone with an active Arbor Financial checking account. The account must be in good standing with no delinquent loans; no charged off loans or shares; no derogatory action placed on accounts; no excessive overdraft history; and no revocation of overdraft privileges.

$5,000 per check. $10,000 per day. $25,000 per month.

It's as depositing checks in an ATM or using online eBanking. Multiple layers of security, including password protection, Internet firewalls, and 128-bit encryption, keep your information safe and secure.

Endorse the check you’re depositing. Write “For Mobile Deposit Only at Arbor.” Any checks that do not carry this endorsement could be rejected.
Sign your name. Be sure that the joint owner(s) of the account you’re depositing to also endorse the check, if their name is listed as a payee.

Within Arbor Financial Mobile, select “Deposits.” Then choose "New Deposit. Select the account to deposit the check into. Enter the amount of the check and select "Continue."

Take a photo of the front of the check. Us a solid background that provides contrast to the check's edges and remove any objects that show in the picture. When you’ve ensured the entire check is visible in the frame, in focus, and well-lit, snap the photo. You can retake the photo if need be.

Repeat the process for the back of the check.

Review your deposit for accuracy and confirm the transaction. Once you’ve correctly answered your challenge question, submit your deposit.

When will my deposit show in my account? Arbor Financial Mobile Check Deposits can be submitted any time of day, as well as on weekends or holidays. In most situations, deposits made before 3 pm (EST) will post to your account the next business day. You can view your mobile check deposit history in the Deposit section of the Arbor Financial Mobile app, including pending, failed and accepted deposits.

Upon confirming that you received full credit for the check deposited, destroy the check by shredding or other means, or clearly mark “VOID” or “Electronically Deposited” on the front and back of the check.
