2022 Arbor Financial Scholarship Winners

Education is in our roots – from first meeting the needs of local teachers decades ago, to now helping our Michigan community members grow and achieve their financial goals. Arbor Financial Credit Union introduced the Scholarship Program in 1999, and since then, has given away $528,000 to area students through the program based on the strength of an essay and other factors.

 

The Arbor Financial Scholarship awarded $24,000 to 12 high school seniors this year based on the strength of an essay. The 2022 scholarship essay topic was based on the quote, β€œThe whole is greater than the sum of the parts.” – Aristotle. Among 141 entries this year, Arbor Financial is proud to announce the winners of the 2022 Arbor Financial Scholarship:

Aiden Crowley

Gull Lake High School & Kalamazoo Area Math and Science Center

Attending the University of Michigan to study neuroscience.

Alicia Janke

Otsego High School

Attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison to study pre-dental biology.

 

Andrew Hovestad

Portage Northern High School

Attending the University of Alabama to study finance.

 

Asher Puhalski

Schoolcraft High School

Attending Holy Cross College to study biology.

 

 

Carter Mayne

Lawton High School

Attending Kalamazoo College to study engineering and continue his football career.

 

Claire Pschigoda

Kalamazoo Christian High School

Attending Taylor University to study business.

 

Elizabeth Longcore

Portage Central High School

Attending Michigan State University to study anthropology.

 

Emily Dalecki

Paw Paw High School

Attending Kalamazoo College for general studies.
