Introducing Chip-Enabled Technology
New Arbor Financial Debit and Credit cards, featuring chip technology, will be reissued in late September - early October. The chip cards will not only provide an advanced level of security, but will also allow you to pay with confidence all over the world.
The chip protects your information by creating a unique code each time you make a transaction. The code is nearly impossible to counterfeit, which adds an extra defense against unauthorized use and prevents any stolen data from being fraudulently used.
- Your debit card number will NOT change
- Your debit card PIN will NOT change
- Your credit card number will NOT change
- Your credit card PIN WILL change and you will receive that in a separate mailing a few days after your card arrives

Q: When will I receive my Arbor Financial chip card?
A: Arbor Financial credit and debit chip cards will be sent out late September-early October.
Q: Do I need to request a new Arbor Financial debit or credit chip card?
A: No, you will receive a new Arbor Financial chip-enabled card without requesting one.
Q: Can I still use my current card?
A: Yes, you can still use your current ECCU card. When the new Arbor Financial chip cards are sent to your address, you may activate that card and dispose of the old ECCU card.
Q: Where can I use my Arbor Financial chip card?
A: You can use your Arbor Financial chip card at the millions of places that accept Visa®; at home and around the world. As always, make sure to alert us before traveling so that we can remove the geographic fraud block.
Q: Can I still swipe my Arbor Financial chip card?
A: Yes, you can still swipe your chip card. Some merchant terminals are not equipped to read the chip cards; therefore, you may still need to swipe your chip card to do a transaction.
Q: Can I use my Arbor Financial debit chip card at the ATM?
A: Yes, you can use your Arbor Financial debit chip card at an ATM. The process is similar to when you are conducting a transaction at a merchant terminal. Insert your card, leave it in the ATM and follow the prompts on the screen. Remove card once transaction is complete.
